Job summary

CFS, based in Orlando, FL, is seeking an Assistant Controller to partner with the Controller and lead the accounting team across AP, AR, billing, collections, and general ledger functions.

You will own month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, while supporting audit processes and staff development to drive process improvements within the finance organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA preferred.
• Strong experience with financial statement preparation, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and audit support.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Supervise accounting operations across AP, AR, billing, collections, payroll support, and GL functions.
• Review and deliver financial reporting to leadership teams and the parent company.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and audit processes.
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff while improving department processes and workflows.

Target Compensation: $100,000-$130,000 + potential bonus
