Client: Retail Technology Organization
Role: Assistant Controller
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000/annually + Benefits

Location: Midtown, Manhattan (next to Bryant Park!) - 4 days a week onsite, WFH on Friday!

Position Overview
In this role, the Assistant Controller will be responsible and accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of two employees.
• Month/year-end close
• GL maintenance, broad knowledge of accounting and auditing procedures involving journal entries, asset schedules, account reconciliations, stock-based compensation, balance sheet and income statement analysis.
• Reporting, financial statements, accruals, fixed assets.
• Managing Accounts Payable/Receivable
• Expertise in managing payroll.
• Complete projects according to deadlines

Requirements

• Require hands-on experience leading general accounting practices for multiple entities.
• Soft Good sector and public experience preferred.
• 1 -2 years' experience in a similar role
• Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Dynamics a preference
• Experience with ADP
• Collaborative and team oriented
• Excellent written and communication skills
