Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Our client is an organization in the Ramsey County area that's looking for a Assistant Controller. This company is looking for someone with 5+ years of experience, analytical, and an excellent leader. This company provides a collaborative culture, flexibility, and a strong, tenured team. This position is hybrid.

The salary for this job is $110K - $130K.

The Assistant Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and drive the month-end close process with a focus on improving efficiency and reducing close timelines.
• Review and analyze consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across multiple locations and business entities.
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial results, including variance analyses, trend reporting, and key performance insights for leadership.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, partnering with operational leaders to develop financial plans and support strategic decision-making.
• Support major technology and process improvement initiatives.
• Communicate financial performance and key business metrics to non-financial stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.

The Assistant Controller will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, including experience managing or reviewing the work of others
• Advanced Excel experience: pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros strongly preferred
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, acquisition-oriented environment
