Job summary

Atlantic Group is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead SEC reporting, close processes, and governance for a fast-growing specialty finance holding company. This hands-on role focuses on strengthening internal controls, policy standardization, and a modernized finance function.

You will partner with executives on analytics and strategic reporting. The ideal candidate has extensive public-company accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of accounting/finance experience.
• Public company and/or SEC reporting experience required.
• Public accounting, industry, or blend welcome.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, disclosures).
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX readiness.
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for a specialty finance portfolio.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and AI-enabled finance initiatives.
• Partner with leadership on reporting, governance, and operational analytics.

A publicly traded, growth-oriented holding company operating in specialty finance is seeking an Assistant Controller to support SEC reporting, accounting operations, and finance transformation initiatives.

$145K-$175K base + 20-25% bonus

What You'll Do

• Lead preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, disclosures)

What We're Looking For
