Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an hands-on Assistant Controller to lead an ERP transformation and support day-to-day accounting operations. This role offers high visibility and the opportunity to mentor teams through change.

You will drive ERP and system integration, partner with Finance leadership, and influence processes across US operations. Strong Excel and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GL.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations.
• Advanced Excel with Pivot Tables, Lookups, and data analysis.
• Experience with process improvement and systems integration.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting’s involvement in the ERP transition from a legacy system to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Define system requirements with IT and business stakeholders.
• Analyze, scrub, reconcile, and migrate financial data into the new ERP.
• Assist with system testing, validation, and optimization.
• Train end users and support adoption across business units.
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
• Maintain strong accounting controls and data integrity.

Assistant Controller

Key Responsibilities

ERP & Systems Implementation

• Lead accounting’s involvement in the transition from a legacy system to Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to define system requirements and workflows
• Analyze, scrub, reconcile, and migrate financial data into the new ERP environment
• Assist with system testing, validation, and optimization
• Train end users and support adoption across business units

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Support month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities
• Maintain strong accounting controls and ensure data integrity
• Provide guidance on accounting processes and best practices
• Assist with ongoing accounting projects and operational initiatives

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger accounting
• Experience supporting or leading ERP implementations
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Lookups, and data analysis
• Experience with process improvement and systems integration
• Strong communication and project management skills

Preferred:

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience
• SAP, NetSuite, or other major ERP implementation experience
• CPA designation
• Manufacturing industry experience
