Job summary

A leading accounting firm located in Cincinnati is looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day general ledger activities and manage the month-end close process. This role involves assigning account reconciliations, preparing reporting packages for senior management, and providing support and coaching for team members. Candidates should have over 6 years of accounting experience and a degree in Finance or Accounting. Benefits include medical and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, 2+ years of management experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting and financial processes (forecasting & budgeting, financial closures, reporting).

• Lead the day-to-day general ledger activities and all aspects of the month-end close process
• Ensure team deadlines are met in accordance with the month-end close process and financial reporting requirements are met in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Assign and manage account reconciliations/analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior management
• Provide training, support and coaching for direct reports to establish goals, objectives and advise on the professional development of staff.
• Ad hoc projects as necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, CPA preferred
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, 2+ years of management experience preferred
• Extensive knowledge of accounting and financial processes (forecasting & budgeting, financial closures, reporting.)
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
