The Assistant Controller is a highly skilled, motivated, and valuable member of the Finance Team. The Assistant Controller will be instrumental in supporting the Controller in managing financial operations (including monthly closings), accounting policy, tax strategy and filings, audits, and other responsibilities required to build a global, scalable accounting organization. The Assistant Controller will also be responsible for creating internal best-of-breed policies and processes and ensuring compliance with them.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Close and Reporting:

  1. Support and improve the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  2. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
  3. Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.

Audit and Compliance:

  1. Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
  2. Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
  3. Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulatory requirements.

Tax Management:

  1. Oversee tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, local, and international regulations.
  2. Prepare and review tax returns and filings.
  3. Advise on tax strategies and implications for business operations and transactions.

Global Financial Operations:

  1. Manage financial operations across multiple international entities.
  2. Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure consistent financial practices.
  3. Handle foreign exchange and international financial reporting issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  2. Minimum of 5 + years of experience in accounting and finance, with a strong emphasis on audit.
  3. Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS.
  4. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  5. Advanced knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
  6. Proven experience in a high-growth, global financial environment, including building scalable processes and systems and managing international entities.
  7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  8. Proficient in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  9. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Location:

This role fully supports remote work for employees residing within the United States, with the flexibility to travel to our Chesterbrook Corporate Center located in Wayne, PA occasionally for in-person collaboration.

Your base pay will be determined by factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and location relative to the hiring range for the position. Depending on your role, you may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, including an annual bonus or sales incentives.
