We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to strategic financial planning. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

This position is in-office at our corporate location. No remote or hybrid work consideration.

Responsibilities

1. Support financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
2. Lead and oversee the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
3. Collaborate with department managers to develop and implement financial procedures.
4. Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits.
5. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
6. Provide training and guidance to team members.
7. Respond to financial inquiries from senior management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Proven experience as Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager.
• CPA eligibility required; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Experience with Great Plains Dynamics and Excel (Macros, PivotTables, V Lookups).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
• Experience leading audits and managing teams.
