Precinmac is seeking an Assistant Controller in Agawam, MA to lead timely financial reporting, consolidate monthly results, and ensure compliance with accounting policies across all entities.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will monitor cash flow projections, support internal and external audits, coordinate with brokers on insurance programs, and mentor staff while upholding a culture of hands-on teamwork and urgency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing accounting is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting; CMA and/or CPA and/or MBA required.
• Big 4 experience and/or internal audit preferred (3+ years).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to operate in a fast-paced culture.

• Perform consolidation of the monthly Precinmac financial results.
• Assist with providing timely and accurate consolidated information for internal and external reporting.
• Maintain and improve monthly business reporting with key metrics.
• Review monthly financials for accuracy across entities.
• Support audits by external auditors as required.
• Assist with insurance program support and renewals.
• Assist with integrations of acquired companies.

Salary Range: $125,000.00 To $165,000.00 Annually

Reporting to the Corporate Controller the Assistant Controller will be responsible for ensuring that financial reporting of performance is timely and accurate. Additionally, this position will be responsible for ensuring all company entities are compliant with accounting policy and procedures. Providing support to corporate accounting through actively reviewing the performance of the company, constantly monitoring and updating the company’s cash flow projections, and providing support to the controller as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own the Compliance Program - develop, implement and manage compliance procedures supporting corporate accounting policies and procedures.

Perform consolidation of the monthly Precinmac financial results

• Assist the Controller with providing timely and accurate consolidated information to support internal reporting requirements as well as monthly, quarterly and annual corporate reporting requirements. Review monthly results, analyze balance sheets, investigate anomalies and monitor complex transaction execution.
• Maintain and improve monthly business reporting - constantly prioritizing and highlighting key metrics requiring business action
• Review monthly financials to ensure accurate and timely reporting by legal entities
• Support business audits conducted by external auditors, as required.
• Assist with the support of the company’s insurance programs working with brokers on coverage analysis and renewal support
• Assist with integrations of acquired companies
• Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

• 7+ years’ experience, manufacturing industry experience, required
• A bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, CMA, CPA and/or MBA,required.

Additional Abilities:

Big 4 Experience and/or internal audit preferred (3+ years)

Strong technical accounting knowledge

• The ability to operate within the company’s culture which is characterized by hands-on teamwork with sense of urgency, mutual support, flexibility, candor, and relative absence of hierarchy.
• A willingness and ability to share information, train, and serve as a mentor.
• Excellent consultative and communication skills (oral and written) and ability to interface effectively with all levels within the organization.
• Proficiency of MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and knowledge of ERP system (Syteline)
• Ability to travel to other company sites, less than10%
