Job summary

Elmington Construction in Nashville is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead on-site operations, ensure quality and safety, and coordinate with the project management team and subcontractors to keep life-cycle milestones on track.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Building Science, Construction Management or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience, 10+ years in commercial/multi-family construction, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Science, Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of related construction experience.
• Commercial/Multi-Family construction experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 hour certification preferred; if not current, obtain within first year.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site field team and coordination of subcontractors.
• Maintain quality standards, inspections, and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with the PM team and monitor project schedules.
• Ensure proper material deliveries and site housekeeping.
• Review project documents, RFIs, and coordination issues.
• Support project closeout and owner turnover.
