Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Assists Superintendent with creating a schedule and cost-effective plan, and continually updating for accurate 3-week Look-Ahead plan on weekly basis.
2. Supports team through collaboration while creating preconstruction estimates and budgets for materials and labor.
3. Assist with coordinating work schedules of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers.
4. Supports Superintendent with creation of budget.
5. Communicates with Project Manager as needed.
6. Assists with inspections for quality and timeliness and providing progress reports to owners and architects.
7. Helps to ensure specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.
8. Assists Superintendent with obtaining required permits and licenses, monitoring budget.
9. Helps oversee subcontractors; answers questions, monitors work, etc.
10. Ensures a secure and healthy work environment by maintaining safety measures.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Good verbal and written communication skills.
2. Ability to work under pressure.
3. Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
4. Extremely detail oriented.
5. Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
6. Some understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites.
7. Some understanding of quality building practices.
8. Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field or relevant experience required.
2. At least two years of experience in building trades required.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
2. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
