Job description

We are a leading Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) panel system fabricator and installer headquartered in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, providing services to the surrounding regions. With over 19 years of experience, we specialize in the design, fabrication, and installation of ACM building envelope systems and are expanding into other architectural finishes and cladding systems.

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other department leads to oversee all aspects of the design, fabrication, and installation processes for ACM panel systems and other exterior cladding systems. The role involves project planning, coordination, execution, and client management. The ideal candidate will bring innovation and solutions to a growing company and have the motivation to advance to a Project Manager position in the future. This position is open to both entry-level and experienced applicants.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the entire project lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout.
  • Work with design, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure processes meet industry standards and project specifications while adhering to schedules.
  • Assist project managers in managing risks, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including submittals, contracts, RFIs, change orders, and close-out documents.
  • Help develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and foster positive relationships.

Entry-Level Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management.
  • Relevant internship or work experience is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Experienced Qualifications:

  • All of the above plus:
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, preferably in architectural finishes or cladding industries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Procore.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Harper-Clayton offers competitive compensation and benefits, including PTO policies, travel and vehicle allowances/reimbursements, and bonus structures.

The expected base salary range for this position is $60,000-$85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
