Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support day-to-day management of safety, quality, schedule, cost control, and procurement on EPC projects across multiple industries. You will collaborate with PMs, site managers, and engineers to drive project success.

The role covers diverse projects, from aviation to energy and water, and requires strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; 3 years of relevant construction experience or equivalent substitution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day management of safety, quality, schedule, and cost control.
• Coordinate with project team on budgets, procurement, and contracts.
• Support development of project plans, QA plans, and safety plans.
• Assist with RFPs, bid processes, and subcontractor selection.
• Prepare project status reports and meeting minutes for stakeholders.
• Support cost reporting, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Ensure compliance with project documentation and filing systems.
• Assist with turnover documentation and closeout processes.
• Coordinate with field supervision and subcontractors to ensure safety and quality.
