Job summary

The Habitat Company, LLC is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to help manage a Chicago community. You will support the Community Manager, maintain rents and deposits reporting, and assist with audits and correspondence with IHDA/HUD. The role requires a proactive, professional approach and a focus on resident satisfaction.

This full-time position emphasizes daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, training others, and coordinating with regional and ownership teams to meet community objectives.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to assist the property manager in day-to-day activities.
• IL Leasing License or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.
• Preferred COS and EIV certifications.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents professionally by phone or in person.
• Process account payables weekly and assist with audits.
• Maintain daily/weekly/monthly reports including rents and deposits.
• Assist with trainings and developing team members as needed.
• Prepare property incident reports and correspondence for IHDA/HUD.
• Support planning and participation in community activities.
