Job summary

Related Group is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support operations for Sorrento in Florida. The candidate will handle lease administration, applicant screening, unit showings, and rent collection while coordinating with maintenance and vendors.

The role emphasizes budgeting insight, regulatory compliance, and strong customer service to ensure outcomes align with housing program requirements and company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent preferred
• Demonstrated financial administration of budgets and operational analysis
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion
• One-site knowledge preferred, however not required
• Knowledge of tax credit, public housing, conventional and other affordable housing programs preferred
• Flexibility to work on Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Supervise, administer, and manage property operations in the absence of the Property Manager
• Advise new residents on lease requirements and responsibilities
• Conduct applicant background checks and approve/deny applicants
• Show units to applicants and explain dwelling operations
• Lease vacant units to approved applicants
• Maintain rent rolls, accounts receivable, delinquencies, and eviction notices
• Collect rents and reconcile resident accounts, prepare deposits and financial reports
• Monitor maintenance work orders and coordinate with contractors
• Inspect units and grounds for maintenance and safety compliance
• Respond to emergencies during and after hours
• Prepare HUD reports as applicable
