Job summary

The Franklin Group seeks an Assistant Community Manager in Staunton, VA. You will help run daily operations under the Community Manager, including leasing, reporting, and resident relations.

The role requires LIHTC/HUD experience preferred, a HS diploma or GED, and strong communication and math skills. Fair Housing certs are required within 1 day of hire, with harassment training within a week. Salary ranges from $19.11 to $29.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• LIHTC/HUD experience highly preferred; HS diploma or GED required.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts; strong mathematical skills.
• Fair Housing Certification must be completed within 1 day of hire; harassment courses within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Efficient reporting, maintenance, and submission of forms, files and reports; post rent to PMS.
• Assist Community Manager in orientation, training, and scheduling of leasing and office staff.
• Inspect model, office and vacant units to ensure marketability and organization.
• Maintain curb appeal awareness and knowledge of competitor pricing and terms.
• Lease to qualified prospects and support lease renewals; manage supplies and office assets.
• Ensure professional appearance and behavior; apply leasing and marketing knowledge.
• Respond to resident requests professionally; support resident retention initiatives.
• Operate within OSHA standards and safety policies; pursue personal development.
