Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners in Charleston is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support leasing, resident relations, and day-to-day financial tasks. You will partner with the Community Manager to create a welcoming, well-run community that meets occupancy goals and delivers superior service.

Ideal candidates bring at least two years in property management (six months in an assistant role preferred), a valid driver's license, CALP is a plus, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Two years property management experience preferred
• Six months assistant community manager experience preferred
• Valid Driver's License required
• CALP accreditation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support leasing efforts by conducting tours and guiding prospects
• Identify prospect needs and showcase available homes
• Ensure applications, renewals and documents are completed on time
• Meet occupancy goals through leasing performance and resident retention
• Create and manage content for social platforms
• Maintain a clean, welcoming office and common areas
• Oversee rent collection and payment posting
• Monitor delinquencies and follow up weekly
• Conduct ledger reviews for billing and payments
• Assist with financial reporting for Community Manager
• Step into leadership in CM's absence
• Support a positive work environment through clear communication
