Job summary

Vivmark Residential in New York City seeks an Assistant Community Manager to drive the sales process, engage prospects and residents, and support lease renewals with a clear career path toward a Community Manager role.

You will lead, mentor, and train teams in sales, marketing, and customer service, handle financial transactions, maintain resident files, and collaborate with maintenance to meet resident needs while monitoring occupancy trends. Tuesday-Saturday 9 AM–6 PM.

Qualifications

• Residential (apartment) property management experience.
• Customer service and sales experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation if operating a vehicle.
• Computer literacy and effective written and oral English communication.
• Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws.
• Flexible schedule including weekends; own smartphone usage required for some tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and mobility to traverse property.

Responsibilities

• Leading, mentoring, and training in sales, marketing, and customer service for a positive work environment.
• Managing financial transactions, including payments and audits, for accurate resident file maintenance.
• Utilizing effective selling techniques, maintaining comprehensive community knowledge, and contributing to marketing efforts.
• Explaining lease provisions, overseeing move-in activities, and conducting orientations for new residents.
• Responding promptly to resident calls and emails, proactively address needs, and follow up on concerns.
• Maintaining effective communication with maintenance staff, ensuring resident needs are met.
• Proactively monitoring property trends for future occupancy needs.
• Scheduled Hours: Tuesday-Saturday: 9 AM - 6 PM.
