Job summary

Vivmark Residential, formed from the merger of AvalonBay Communities and Equity Residential, seeks a property management-oriented professional for our NY operations. You will lead leasing, resident relations, and team training, ensuring compliance and exceptional service across the community.

Responsibilities include overseeing payments and audits, maintaining accurate files, coordinating move-ins, and supporting marketing efforts to drive occupancy.

Qualifications

  • Residential property management experience.
  • Customer service and sales experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license with reliable transportation if required for vehicle use.
  • Computer literacy and effective communication in English.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading, mentoring, and training in sales, marketing, and customer service for a positive work environment
  • Managing financial transactions, including payments and audits, for accurate resident file maintenance
  • Utilizing effective selling techniques, maintaining comprehensive community knowledge, and contributing to marketing efforts.
  • Explaining lease provisions, overseeing move-in activities, and conducting orientations for new residents
  • Responding promptly to resident calls and emails, proactively address needs, and follow up on concerns
  • Maintaining effective communication with maintenance staff, ensuring resident needs are met
  • Proactively monitoring property trends for future occupancy needs
  • Scheduled Hours: Tuesday-Saturday: 9 AM - 6 PM
What You'll Need To Thrive
  • Residential (apartment) property management experience.
  • Customer service and sales experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation is required if the employee will operate a motorized vehicle (e.g., car, golf cart) during their workday and/or as part of their role.
  • Computer literacy and effective communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing in English for all work-related purposes.
  • Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Office team employees, with limited exceptions, are required to use their own Smartphone to perform certain aspects of their job. The device must have updated software and must be password-protected and compliant with in-house security systems.
  • Ability to use the computer effectively and read written communications. Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 15 pounds for the dissemination of documents, supplies, materials, etc. to various locations throughout the office/facility. May be required to climb stairs depending on the property structure.
Pay Rate: $30.03-$33.37 Hour
  • For hourly roles: Employees are eligible for overtime pay and performance incentives.
  • The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.
