Role Overview

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in operational duties, including reporting, rent processing, leasing, marketing, and overseeing the community and staff in the absence of the Community Manager.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist with daily and month-end reporting, including resident ledgers.
  • Post rent, collect on delinquencies, handle eviction processes, create and post POs, and manage daily deposits.
  • Manage lease renewals and prepare new lease paperwork for approval.
  • Conduct daily community inspections, address issues, and verify property conditions.
  • Assist in hiring and training new team members.
  • Monitor resident satisfaction through communication channels.
  • Maintain knowledge of the property and competitors.
  • Oversee property operations and staff in the Community Manager's absence.
  • Assist with leasing duties, including tours and lease agreements, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong marketing background
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in bookkeeping or account reconciliation
  • Previous property management experience
  • CAM or Licensed Property Manager certification
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager
  • Valid driver’s license (may be required)

Work Schedule: Typically 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday; additional hours, including weekends, may be required.
