Job Responsibilities

The Assistant Community Manager assists the Community Manager with operational duties, including reporting, rent processing, leasing, marketing, and overseeing the community and staff in the Community Manager's absence.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist with daily and month-end reporting, including resident ledgers.
  • Handle rent posting, delinquency collection, eviction processes, POs, and deposits.
  • Manage lease renewals and prepare lease paperwork for final approval.
  • Inspect the community daily, address issues, and verify property conditions meet standards.
  • Assist in hiring and training new team members.
  • Monitor resident satisfaction through communication.
  • Develop knowledge of the property and competitors.
  • Oversee operations and staff in the Community Manager's absence.
  • Assist with leasing duties, including tours and lease agreements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong marketing background
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
  • Bookkeeping or account reconciliation experience
  • Property management experience
  • CAM or Licensed Property Manager certification
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager
  • Valid driver's license (may be required)

Work schedule: Generally 9 am - 6 pm, Monday-Friday; additional hours including weekends may be required.
