Job Responsibilities

The Assistant Community Manager supports all operational duties of the Community Manager, including reporting, rent processing, leasing, marketing, and overseeing community staff in the absence of the Community Manager.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist with daily and month-end reporting, including resident ledgers.
  • Handle rent posting, delinquency collections, eviction processes, purchase orders, and daily deposits.
  • Manage lease renewals and prepare lease paperwork for approval.
  • Inspect the community daily, address issues, and verify property conditions meet standards.
  • Assist in hiring and training new team members.
  • Monitor resident satisfaction through various communication channels.
  • Maintain knowledge of the property and competitors in the area.
  • Oversee property operations and staff in the Community Manager's absence.
  • Assist with leasing activities, including tours and lease agreement preparation.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong marketing background
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications/Skills
  • Bookkeeping and reconciliation experience
  • Property management experience
  • CAM or Licensed Property Manager certification
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager
  • Valid driver's license (may be required)

Work Schedule: Generally 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday; additional hours including weekends may be required.
