Job summary

Envolve Community Management, LLC is seeking an Assistant Community Manager for Carriage House Apartments in Petersburg, VA. You will support the Community Manager with onsite operations, leasing, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily performance.

The role requires HUD and LIHTC knowledge, strong communication, and teamwork. You will supervise staff, manage rent collection, reporting, renewals, and resident service initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HUD and LIHTC tax credit requirements.
• Minimum 1–2 years of Tax Credit/HUD and Property Management experience.
• Background Screening and Drug Test required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing leasing, maintenance and housekeeping staff.
• Maintain knowledge of area competition and market surveys.
• Prepare weekly activity reports and rental/ leasing records.
• Assist with resident requests reporting and recording.
• Support renewal and retention program implementation.
• Record and process rent collections and delinquencies.
• Provide required reports and perform other tasks.

Currently, we are searching for an Assistant Community Manager to work at Carriage House Apartments in Petersburg, VA.

Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Community Manager in the daily aspects of onsite management and operations for the community at which they are employed. The assistant will also assist the Community Manager and supervisors with special projects and administrative tasks.

Duties

• Assist in directing and supervision of leasing, maintenance, janitorial, and housekeeping staff.
• Maintain a current knowledge of area competition and market surveys.
• Complete or supervise completion and accuracy of weekly activity reports, all rental applications and recording of all rental and leasing information.
• Assist Community Manager in the reporting, assigning, and recording of all resident requests.
• Assisting Manager in the implementation of resident renewal and retention programs.
• Responsible for the collection, receipting, and recording of all rents.
• Collection of all delinquent rents.
• Provide reports as required.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Computer knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel. Candidate must have a full understanding of compliance documents and deadlines. A commitment to exceptional customer service is critical along with a proven track record of strong team building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with particular attention to details needed. Knowledge of HUD and LIHTC tax credit is required. A minimum of 1 - 2 years of Tax Credit and HUDand Property Management experience required. Background Screening and Drug Test Required.
