Job summary

Fairfield Residential in Alexandria, VA, invites an Assistant Community Manager to support property operations, drive resident satisfaction, and ensure financial accuracy. You’ll take your leasing and marketing know-how to the next level in a fast-paced multifamily environment.

This role partners with the Community Manager and leasing team, handles rent collection, invoicing, and reporting using Yardi, and ensures compliance with fair housing laws while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of residential leasing, sales, and/or property management experience.
  • Experience using Yardi or other property management accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Understanding of financial statements and fair housing laws.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As an Assistant Community Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting property operations, driving resident satisfaction, and ensuring financial accuracy. This position is ideal for someone ready to take their leasing and marketing experience to the next level in property management.

What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license may be required
  • Minimum of one year of residential leasing, sales, and/or property management experience required
  • Experience in leadership and supervising a staff preferred
  • Experience using Yardi or other related property management accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong math and accounting skills
  • Understanding of financial statements (budget, financial reports, accounting information, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local fair housing laws and provisions
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and some holidays
Estimated Rate of Pay

$24.21 - $31.47

This position is non-exempt; the range above reflects hourly rates. The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity*. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any). In addition to base salary, Fairfield offers all full time associates the following, upon meeting eligibility requirements:
