Job summary

The Lewis Group of Companies is seeking an Assistant Community Director for a 288-rental home community in Antelope, CA. This role partners with the Community Director to co-manage daily property operations, lead staff, and ensure an exceptional living experience for residents.

You will assist in leasing, maintenance, budgeting, vendor management, and compliance while driving resident satisfaction and engagement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of property management experience with operations, staff supervision, and leadership.
• Proven knowledge of property budgets, bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Understanding of landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing Leasing, Maintenance, and Groundskeeping teams to achieve operational goals.
• Support community budgets, financial reports, and bookkeeping tasks.
• Oversee vendor management, contracts, and service quality.
• Hire, motivate, monitor, and recognize employees for their contributions.
• Ensure resident satisfaction and resolve escalated issues professionally.
• Assist in marketing, outreach, and community engagement efforts.
• Maintain compliance with Fair Housing laws, landlord/tenant regulations, and company policies.
• Use MS Office daily; experience in OneSite or similar software preferred.
