Job summary

Madison Reed in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking an Assistant Colorist for our Hair Color Bar. You’ll support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead, learn services, and help guests choose the right color while performing tasks with care.

This role trains you toward becoming a Licensed Colorist in 3–9 months. The position can be full- or part-time, with availability at peak times to serve guests and keep the studio running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail sales; salon or beauty experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and people skills in a fast-paced retail/salon environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide guest experience aligned with company values.
• Assist in behind-the-chair services: shampooing, finishing services, styling, blowouts, and color-related tasks as requested.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals: retail, services, memberships.
