Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking an Assistant Colorist to support Licensed Colorists and the team at the Hair Color Bar. You will learn color application, guest consultations, product education, and service support while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

This role offers potential progression to a Licensed Colorist within months and is paid with base hourly pay, commissions, and tips. Requirements include an active cosmetology license, English fluency, and customer service or retail experience.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you apply.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; beauty industry is a plus.
• Effective communication and problem solving in a fast paced environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide guest experience aligned with our values and teamwork.
• Assist behind the chair: shampooing, conditioning, styling, and color services as needed.
• Contribute to monthly sales goals including retail and memberships.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory and asset security.
• Adhere to policies and procedures throughout the shift.
• Help grow revenue through services, memberships, and product sales.
• Participate in training to progress toward Licensed Colorist.
