Madison Reed Hair Color Bar in Sunnyvale, CA seeks an Assistant Colorist to support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead, learning services and advancing toward a Licensed Colorist role. You will help guests choose the right color and execute services with care.

This is a training role with potential for promotion within 3–9 months; compensation includes base pay, commissions and tips, with hourly range of $29.50–$30.50.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you apply.
• Entry level or basic experience in customer service or retail; beauty industry preferred.
• Strong communication and people skills; fast-paced retail environment.
• Comfortable operating POS systems.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with company values.
• Assist behind the chair: shampooing, finishing services, styling and related tasks.
• Contribute to monthly sales goals, including retail, services and memberships.
• Ensure the Hair Color Bar remains clean, merchandised, and properly inventoried.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies and procedures.
• Support revenue growth through upselling memberships, subscriptions and products.
• Learn the Assistant Colorist to Colorist training to advance at Madison Reed.
