Description

The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach provides administrative, instructional, and recruiting support services to the Women's Soccer program under the supervision of the Head Coach of Women's Soccer at Heidelberg University.

Supervision Exercised

May supervise student employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Recruiting quality student-athletes capable of competing at the NCAA level and achieving academic success at a competitive institution.
  2. Achieving athletic excellence through competitive results.
  3. Providing leadership in the personal development of student-athletes by projecting a positive and professional image.
  4. Designing a competitive schedule that maximizes student-athlete development and performance.
  5. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with alumni and supporters of the Women's Soccer program.
  6. Planning and implementing practice and competition schedules.
  7. Participating in fundraising activities.
  8. Upholding the highest professional standards and ethical behavior, adhering to NCAA, Ohio Athletics Conference, University, and Athletics Department standards.
  9. Administering home events and assisting with team travel and recruit visits.
  10. Performing other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 2-4 years of coaching or athletic experience.

  • Specialty in soccer coaching.
  • Experience in collegiate coaching or collegiate athlete experience.
Skills and Abilities

  • Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.
Tools and Equipment

Knowledge of office equipment and software, including recruiting databases. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands

Frequent use of arms, hands, and fingers; mobility; communication; occasional outdoor exposure; lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, over 45 pounds occasionally; vision and focus requirements; handling stress.

Work Environment

Primarily office and educational facilities, indoor and outdoor venues, with varying noise levels.
