Qualifications

The Assistant Coach - Women's Tennis supports the team's Head Coachin all aspects of the program's operation. This includesstudent-athlete development, recruiting, team logistics, andcompliance. The role requires flexibility to work some nights,weekends, and to travel overnight for away games and tournaments.The Assistant Coach - Women's Tennis takes appropriate actions tosupport a diverse student body and workforce and participates inthe College's efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, andwelcoming environment.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Coaching & Athlete Development

• Assist the Head Coach with planning and conducting dailypractices.
• Provide technical instruction, skill development, andindividual feedback to student-athletes.
• May provide preparation and logistical support for games andtournaments. - Foster an environment focused on growth,accountability, and team cohesion.

Recruitment

• Assist with the identification, evaluation, and recruitment ofprospective student-athletes.
• Communicate with recruits and their families through phone,email, and in-person visits.
• Coordinate and participate in on-campus recruiting visits andevents.
• Ensure all recruiting activities comply with institutional,conference, and NCAA guidelines.

Team Operations & Logistics

• Manage team travel logistics including transportation, lodging,and meals for away contests.
• Drive college vehicles to practices, games, and tournaments asnecessary. - Assist in equipment management and inventorycontrol.

Administrative & Compliance Support

• Maintain records related to team activities, recruiting, andtravel.
• Assist the Head Coach with administrative tasks and programplanning as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of a degree, 4 years of relevantexperience
• Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience (collegiate orcompetitive level preferred)
• Understanding of the role of athletics in a competitiveacademic environment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive college vehicles;must successfully complete the Five College Risk Management drivercredentialing program
• Willingness and availability to work nights, weekends, andtravel overnight as required
• Successful completion of required pre-employment physical andlift test, background and reference checks
