Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Sports Performance – Olympic Sports will assist the Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Sports Performance – Olympic Sports with all aspects of the Strength and Conditioning program including but not limited to directing and implementing plans for strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs for student-athletes in various sports programs and overall administrative tasks within the operation of the program. Must demonstrate integrity, leadership, a strong commitment and ability to motivate, teach, and counsel student-athletes.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required (or foreign degree equivalent) with at least 1 year of experience in relevant independent instructional or educational activities; specific minimum experience is at the discretion of the Director of Athletics.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Prefer at least 1 year in relevant independent or educational activities. Experience in working with return to play rehabilitation athletes helpful.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements
Must be able to lift/move 25lbs. or greater. May be required to navigate stairs. Attention to detail essential. Must be able to manage high volume, fast paced environment. May be subject to working in extreme weather conditions. Travel required.
Campus Security Authority Responsibilities
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
