Job summary

Paterson Public Schools is seeking coaches for fall sports within the season dates of November 23, 2026–March 7, 2027. Candidates must hold a New Jersey Teacher's Certificate or Substitute Teacher Certificate, and CPR/AED certification; coaching experience is preferred.

Availability is required daily during the fall season. Additional requirements include Concussion Awareness and Wellness, Heat Acclimatization Awareness, and completion of Sports First Aid within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Proof of NJ Teacher's or Substitute Teacher Certificate; experience proof for substitute certificate holder.
• Must be CPR and AED certified, with current certificates.
• Must obtain Concussion Awareness and Wellness certificate, renewed annually.
• Must obtain Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness certificate, renewed annually.
• All new coaches will have one year to complete Sports First Aid course.
• Pending budget availability.
• Open for ten consecutive days after posted on Paterson Public Schools website.

• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
