Job summary

The Ohio State University Athletics invites applications for an Assistant Coach, Diving at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. You will instruct and coach diving for men’s and women’s teams, assist in selection, recruiting, and schedule practices, travel, and equipment, while ensuring compliance with NCAA and university rules.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and coaching swim experience; Master’s degree preferred. This is a fixed-term, 20-hour position with varying shifts in Columbus, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience coaching the sport of swimming required; ability to communicate and work with a diverse population required; knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations desired.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and teaches athletes in fundamentals of diving; coaches technique and strategy for Men's and Women's Swim teams.
• Assists in selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations.
• Assists the head coach in coordinating administrative areas of program management including scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, equipment.
• Monitors academic progress of student athletes; audits information from academic support services; ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations.
