Job summary

The Ohio State University Athletics is seeking an Assistant Coach for Artistic Swimming to instruct athletes in fundamentals, coach technique, and assist in team member selection and recruiting within NCAA rules.

Based at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion, the role involves coordinating practice and competition schedules, travel planning, and supporting student-athlete academic progress while contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of synchronized swimming at the intercollegiate level.
• Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations; experience working with a diverse population desired.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and teaches athletes in fundamentals of synchronized swimming, coaches technique and strategy.
• Assists in selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations.
• Assists the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management including, but not limited to, scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, equipment.
• Monitors academic progress of student athletes; audits information from academic support services, ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations.
• This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
