Boulder Valley School District is seeking an Assistant Coach for Cross Country at Broomfield Heights Middle School in Colorado. The position is 1.0 FTE, extra duty, with a start date of September 24, 2026, running through late October.

Summary:

Instruct and work with athletes with guidance from the head coach to prepare them for competition. The Assistant Coach reports to the Head Cross Country Coach and Athletic Director and is responsible for assisting with the cross country program.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with coordinating of varsity program and summer/off season programs
• Implementing of expectations and direction of the program

• Attendance at CHSAA and League/Region Coaches' meetings
• Communication with parents, players, school staff, media, etc.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Must be 21 years of age, or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Complete and submitted BVSD online application
• Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English

Preferred:

• Must be available after school,evenings and weekends
• Previous coaching experience
• Knowledge of all aspects of middle school activity programming.
• Proven leadership qualities and successful experience in working with high school students.

Salary Information:

Salary Placementvaries according to experience and education.

*Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule).
