Job summary

The College of Lake County (CLC) is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach to support the Head Baseball Coach in player development, training, performance analysis, and recruiting. This role operates within the Athletics Department to foster holistic growth of players and the program.

Responsibilities include organizing practice sessions, game-day support, scouting, and maintaining team operations while ensuring compliance with college rules and a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching or playing experience.
• Technical knowledge of the sport of baseball.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and Training: Assisting with practice sessions, including organizing drills and teaching skills.
• Game Day Support: Assisting with game strategy and preparation and providing support during games.
• Recruiting and Team Management: Assisting with recruiting efforts, including scouting potential players and contacting them.
• Administrative Tasks: Recording statistics and data; scheduling games and travel arrangements; communicating with parents and other stakeholders.
