Job summary

Coffeyville Community College is seeking a full-time assistant softball coach to support the head coach in day-to-day operations, practice planning, and gameday execution. The role focuses on developing student-athletes on the field and in the classroom, while helping build a positive team culture.

Responsibilities include recruiting and evaluating athletes under NJCAA rules, coordinating travel, and employing video analysis and scouting materials to prepare for competition.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching softball at college level preferred.
• Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations.
• Ability to develop student-athletes on and off the field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily practice planning and gameday operations.

• Assist with player development on the field.

Job description

Coffeyville Softball is looking for a full-time assistant coach. Coffeyville is an NJCAA DII school that competes in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC)/Region 6. The position will be expected to assist the head coach with managing and supervising the day-to-day operations while helping develop student-athletes on and off the field. Pitching experience is preferred but not required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct and assist with daily practice planning and gameday operations.
• Recruit and evaluate athletes in accordance with NJCAA rules and regulations.
• Assist with player development on the field.
• Assist with monitoring student athlete with their academic progress.
• Assist with team travel preparation and operation.
• Knowledgeable with video and technology analysis.
• Assist with preparing & preparing scouting material.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.
