Job summary

Fort Hays Tech | Northwest is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach to support the head coach in operating the softball program, including recruiting, scheduling, fundraising, travel, budgeting, and practice planning. The role involves coaching and training students in skills and strategies for competition, and mentoring student athletes to ensure academic progress.

The assistant coach will represent Fort Hays Tech | Northwest professionally while adhering to college, NJCAA, and KJCCC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching or teaching preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the head coach in operating the softball program: recruiting, scheduling, fundraising, travel, budgeting and practice plans.
• Coach, teach, and train students in skills and strategies related to competition.
• Mentor and maintain discipline of student athletes ensuring academic progress.

Fort Hays Tech | Northwest is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach. FHNW is a small, rural technical college located in Goodland, KS.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to supporting the head coach in the following areas: operating the softball program (recruiting, scheduling, fundraising, travel, budgeting and practice plans); coaching, teaching, and training students in skills and strategies related to competition; and mentoring and maintaining discipline of student athletes ensuring their academic progress. The assistant coach shall represent Fort Hays Tech | Northwest and the program in a professional manner, while enforcing college and NJCAA and KJCCC guidelines governing the sport.
