Job summary

Taymax Group, LP, owner of Planet Fitness clubs, is hiring an Assistant Manager in Bellflower, CA to support the Club Manager and lead front desk operations.

You will recruit and train staff, greet members, check-in, handle inquiries, supervise shifts, process payroll, and ensure exceptional service for a high-traffic gym environment. This role requires energy, reliability and a passion for fitness.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma/GED equivalent.
• One year of customer service experience preferably in a similar gym or retail environment.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite) and the ability to learn systems quickly.
• Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills.
• Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic, and a passion for health and fitness!
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and must have own reliable means of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of club operations to ensure an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring and developing staff including Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians.
• Assist with scheduling and supervising staff to ensure shifts are covered and maintain excellent customer service.
• Assist in payroll processing and provide backup support for absent employees.
• Lead by example at front desk: greet members, answer phones, check-in members and communicate updates or events.
