Job summary

MarinHealth is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to assist the Chief Engineer in directing the Engineering department, ensuring the total operation and maintenance of the hospital's physical plant, machinery, equipment and grounds.

The role requires a high school diploma (some college in engineering desirable), 3+ years in building/grounds operations, and a California Driver's license. You will work with contractors, enforce policies, and support budgeting and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; some college in engineering sciences desirable.
• Experience: at least 3 years in general building and grounds operations.
• License: California Driver's Class C required at hire.
• Knowledge: boiler operations, electrical distributions, drafting/blueprints.
• Familiar with applicable building codes and hospital plant operations.
• OSHA regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Directs activities of the Engineering department under Chief Engineer.
• Expedite work orders and projects; follow up on projects and report.
• Assist in development of department policies and procedures.
• Supervise department and orient new personnel.
• Maintain department productivity and stock of parts and supplies.
• Procure supplies and parts at best prices; manage emergency systems.
