Job summary

The City of Bloomington is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Community Health and Wellness Center to lead day-to-day operations, drive program implementation, and supervise full-time staff. You will manage memberships, schedule facilities, assist with budgets, and support outreach efforts to expand services to residents.

Ideal candidates have a background in recreation or related field, plus experience in customer service and supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Business Administration or closely related field.
• Two years’ work experience in a customer service-oriented environment.
• Two years’ supervisory experience and knowledge of cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration and sales of CHWC membership program, including billing and inquiries.
• Direct and supervise 3-4 full-time staff, with coaching and development.
• Develop operating budgets, fee schedules, and monitor cost recovery.
• Collaborate on promotions and marketing across print and digital channels.
• Track enrollment, customer satisfaction, and adjust offerings accordingly.
• Maintain partnerships with community stakeholders and ensure equity in services.
