The Learning Experience – Newington in Central Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Center Director to support daily center operations, develop our teaching team, and create an exceptional experience for children and families. Salary ranges from $45,000 to $55,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 1 year of childcare/daycare/preschool leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Connecticut licensing regulations and childcare compliance requirements.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Center Director to oversee daily center operations and maintain a positive school culture.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and coaching of teachers and staff.
• Ensure compliance with Connecticut licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
• Assist teachers in implementing the curriculum and maintaining classroom excellence.
• Build relationships with children, families, and staff, delivering exceptional customer service.
• Conduct tours, assist enrollment efforts, and support family retention initiatives.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, payroll, inventory, purchasing and administrative tasks.
• Step into classrooms to provide support, maintain ratios, and ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate marketing, family events, and community outreach.
