Job summary

The Learning Experience in Newington, CT is seeking a passionate Center Director to lead our team, support families, drive enrollment, and ensure excellence in center operations. Location: Central Connecticut.

You will recruit, train, coach educators, ensure licensing compliance, manage daily operations, and coordinate community outreach to build brand awareness and enrollment growth. Competitive salary of $60,000–$65,000.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of childcare leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of Connecticut licensing regulations and childcare compliance requirements.
• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive enrollment, and build strong relationships with families and the community.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and business management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, creating an environment of trust, teamwork, positivity, and inclusivity for children, families, and staff.
• Recruit, train, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of educators.
• Support teachers in implementing The Learning Experience's proprietary curriculum and programs.
• Ensure full compliance with Connecticut licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
• Drive enrollment growth and family retention through exceptional customer service, engaging center tours, open houses, and community outreach efforts.
• Manage daily center operations, including staffing, scheduling, payroll, budgeting, inventory, and purchasing.
• Plan, coordinate, and participate in community events, open houses, enrollment events, and local marketing initiatives to build brand awareness, strengthen community partnerships, and increase enrollment.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and joyful learning environment where children can thrive.
