Job summary

The Learning Experience - Franklin, MA is seeking an Assistant Center Director to help lead our early childhood education team. You will partner with the Center Director to ensure smooth daily operations, support staff development, and nurture strong relationships with families.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary of 65,000 to 75,000 dollars per year, plus benefits, PTO, 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for leadership growth within a supportive, child-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet Massachusetts EEC requirements for the position.
• Director I and Director II qualifications required.
• Professional experience in licensed childcare, preschool, or early childhood education.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Massachusetts EEC regulations and licensing requirements.
• Strong coaching, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance team leadership, family relationships, and center operations.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Center Director to support successful daily center operations.
• Help recruit, onboard, train, coach, and retain high-quality teachers.
• Support staffing plans, classroom coverage, and required ratios.
• Observe classrooms and coach teachers on curriculum, engagement, and classroom management.
• Support implementation of The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Maintain Massachusetts EEC licensing and compliance standards.
• Develop strong relationships with enrolled and prospective families.
• Participate in center tours and support enrollment and retention.
• Assist with family communication, questions, and concerns.
• Maintain required center and employee documentation.
• Support family events, community partnerships, and center initiatives.
• Serve as a visible leadership presence for teachers and families.
• Assume center leadership responsibilities when the Center Director is unavailable.
