Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Tyler, TX, seeks a Category Manager to assist with buying decisions and manage day-to-day flow for bakery/deli/produce categories. You will build supplier relationships, analyze market trends, and help optimize pricing, sourcing, and profitability across banners.

Responsibilities include vendor contract negotiations, stock reviews, and coordinating advertising materials while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in related field and five or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination.
• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business per policy.
• Physical demands include frequent sitting, occasional lifting up to 40 lbs, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with buying decisions and day-to-day flow of assigned category.
• Develop business while maintaining supplier and retail team relationships.
• Perform ongoing market analysis of competitive landscape and commodity trends.
• Negotiate supplier contracts to ensure quality and price ranges.
• Review stock, item movement, and late purchase orders; manage pricing and replenishment.
• Coordinate ad templates and SAP/database updates; support pricing and scanning communications.
