Job summary

Save A Lot is seeking a developmental Category Assistant with the goal of advancing to Category Manager. The role emphasizes learning category items, pricing, promotions, assortment, and planograms, while partnering closely with Sourcing and Supply Chain teams.

You will support vendor relationships, help analyze performance, and contribute to the annual category business plan under leadership guidance. A strong business acumen and proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field and/or 1-3 years of relevant retail experience.
• 2-3 years relevant business experience with marketing, merchandising, consumer research and financial management knowledge.
• Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills to interpret internal and external factors on financial results.

Responsibilities

• Learn components of category management and execute steps for category success with guidance.
• Own vendor relationships as primary contact and negotiate future plans and assortment.
• Manage P&L and monitor performance with leaders’ guidance; communicate plans across functions.
