Job summary

You will help ensure timely appointments, verify referrals, assist with travel arrangements, and maintain Cerner schedules while delivering high-quality patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of case management experience.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of privacy laws and medical terminology.
• Experience with Cerner or electronic health records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, supports Case Managers in the department through scheduling, reception, records maintenance, coordination with other hospital clinics, and general assistance.
• Assist with patient referrals, scheduling diagnostic studies, clinic appointments, telemedicine visits, field clinics, and travel/housing arrangements.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and maintain records in the electronic health record.
• Handle clerical duties including phone calls, mail, faxes, and patient portal messages.
• Maintain schedules in Cerner and assist with coordinating care across departments.
