Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking an Assistant Camp Director / Youth Program Specialist to support Camp CONNRI and year-round youth programming. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of related professional or practical experience with children, youth, or young adults.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate Salvation Army vehicles.
• Willingness to complete required training and certifications related to youth programming and camping.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and implementing Camp CONNRI summer camp program and Youth Department programming.
• Recruit summer camp staff and coordinate with Human Resources.
• Maintain time, attendance, and other employment records in HR systems.
• Coordinate staff orientation and training; supervise and evaluate staff.
• Process camper applications with Corps and Service Unit liaisons and assist with check-in procedure.
• Plan and provide Christian spiritual formation resources for the summer camp.
• Live on-site at Camp during the summer camp session and support daily camp operations.
• Attend Youth Department planning meetings, take minutes, and contribute program insights.
