The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Summer Day Camp Assistant in Olathe, Kansas. The role involves assisting the Summer Day Camp Director in planning and supervising summer programs and ensuring a positive experience for campers.
Ideal candidates should possess a High School diploma, prior supervisory experience, and certifications in CPR/First Aid. The position requires strong leadership abilities and the capacity to work with children.
Assist the Summer Day Camp Director in planning, developing, organizing, and supervising/directing programs for the Salvation Army Day Camp.
Education: High School/GED and one (1) year college or adequate work experience
Experience: Prior supervisory and management experience with the ability to train and lead staff and/or volunteers. Experience working with children preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: CPR/First Aid
Summer Day Camp Employees
Include vision, hearing, and speaking; actively participating in indoor and outdoor activities with children, standing for long periods of time; walking, running, bending, reaching; lifting up to 25 lbs. This position requires an employee to drive. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.
The work environment for this position includes an office, gym, and outdoor environment with a low to high noise level.
