TEKsystems partners with a leading global outdoor apparel and footwear brand to support the merchandising and buying team. The Administrative Assistant will drive seasonal buying execution, manage data, and prepare insightful reports using advanced Excel skills.

The role emphasizes strong communication, attention to detail, and collaboration with multiple buyers, with a hybrid on-site Portland, OR setting. 12-week contract with potential for extension or direct hire.

Qualifications

• Excel: VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, data organization and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with high data accuracy.
• Understanding of retail math and merchandising concepts preferred.
• 2–3 years buying or assistant buying experience helpful or merchandising-focused college graduate with strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate data to analyze business trends and actions.
• Support buyers with seasonal buys from planning through execution.
• Prepare documentation, collect/analyze data, and create visual materials.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to gather information and execute merchandising decisions.
• Create product catalogs for leadership reviews and retail stores.
• Upload orders and reconcile seasonal buys.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
